THE WORLD SHRINE (Motosu Hikari Ōkamu no Miya)

The shrine for the Creator

The construction of the World Shrine (also referred to as Suza) was completed in 1984, under the guidance of the second oshienushi, Keishu Okada, who succeeded to the missions of the founder, Kōtama Okada, including his mission to build Suza. Suza is a holy place of contact between the Creator and human beings and a base for bringing the Light to the world. (The shrine is currently undergoing major renovations.)

THE SECOND SHRINE, AIWAKAN

“The Second Noah’s Ark”

Aiming to realise a world of love and harmony that transcends religious denomination

The Second Shrine was inaugurated in November 2020, under the guidance of the third oshienushi, Kōō Okada, who initiated the construction of the Second Shrine in order to enshrine Su God, the Creator, while a major renovation of the World Shrine is undertaken. The Second Shrine is a sacred space that is used to hold divine ceremonies. It is also a multipurpose facility that will be made available for use by the public to hold local cultural events. It will also be used as an evacuation centre in times of emergency. Systems have been installed to produce energy from renewable energy resources such as solar and biomass in the form of wood. Furthermore, systems have been installed to generate and store hydrogen. Utilising multiple renewable energy resources, this building has begun operating as Japan’s first ‘new energy facility.”
